The Kiss by Gustav Klimt was painted in 1907-1908. Most everyone says it is his best painting by far. It was bought and paid for even before it was finished. It is still in the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, Austria. It is a blend of Gold paint and Gold Leaf on the canvas.
